Tsuchiya awarded with New Energy Foundation's Chairman Prize

Our "Biogas plants using biogas from livestock manure for power generation" have been awarded with the Chairman's Prize at the 2013 New Energy Grand Prix hosted by the New Energy Foundation. The Foundation recognized that the consistent promotion, design, construction, and maintenance contributes to the broadening of Biogas plants among lifestock farmers.

In a biogas plant methane gas is produced by anaerobic digestion of organic substrates such as manure or others. This methane is commonly known as biogas, which can be combusted to generate electricity and heat.
Biogas decreases the environmental load of livestock husbandry because more than 80% of its energy can be used effectively to reduce the carbon footprint caused by fossil fuels.

Reliable planning and maintenance

With a profound know-how in manure handling cultivated over many years in the severe natural environment of Hokkaidô we offer highly reliable, high efficient plants. All our biogas plants are equipped with CHPs from our German partner 2G Energy. The plants keep a rate of utilization higher than 90% and constantly produce electricity and heat.

Tsuchiya biogas plants on Hokkaidô

Since 2005 we have built 17 biogas plants only on Hokkaidô. For 2015 additional 8 plants are planned as of December 2014.

CHP units developed to the highest degree of efficiency

German 2G Energy is known for its highly efficient Combined Heat and Power units (CHP). These units are independently developed and manufactured at 2G Energy.
The high-performance engines of 2G Energy CHPs have a long service life and are from the renowned manufacturers MAN, GE Jenbacher and MWM.
2G Energy cogeneration units are delivered completely assembled and only need to be connected to the grid. The CHPs are easy to operate and require only little regular maintenance.
